Operation Concept
TTAI heat exchangers functionally refer to shell and tube heat exchangers. However, they have some significant differences in design and technology compared to traditional shell and tube heat exchangers. The advantages of TTAI heat exchangers are the following:
- extra thin heat-transfer tubes of small diameter are used in TTAI heat exchangers
- heat-transfer tubes have a special profile
- heat-transfer tubes are in a pressure-tight bank
- irregular layout of the tube sheets is used
- TTAI heat exchangers’ tube bank is movable
- there is a pure counterflow of heat-exchange media
- there is an increased medium motion speed in TTAI heat exchangers
- low hydraulic resistance
- a tube bank can be easily removed from the shell
- TTAI heat exchangers’ shell is made of extra thin tubes
- heat-transfer tubes and heat exchangers’ shell are produced from stainless steel or titanium
- self-cleaning effect during the operation of TTAI heat exchangers
- media flow scheme can be one-way, two-way or multi-way
- tube separating plates are of specific design
- tube sheets can be not only metal, but also composite
- each TTAI heat exchanger is customized by specially developed computer program to suite each specific application
